| Indian Junior Chamber is a part of the Global Organisation and was set up in Calcutta 50 years back , and 1999 was celebrated as the Golden Jubilee Year of Indian Junior Chamber. Indian Junior Chamber with its headquarters at Bombay is headed by a National President and five Executive vice- Presidents. The National President of year 2000 is Jc.Mukinder Singh, and one of the executive vice presidents from Kerala is Jc. Anil Kumar. The national President of 1999 Jc. Ravi Shanker will take charge as Vice President International, being one of the vice presidents of Junior Chamber being one of the vice presidents of Junior Chamber International in 2000 | ||
| Thodupuzha Junior Chamber is a local organisation member of Indian Chamber and was set up 32 years back in 1968 under the leadership of Jc. Adv.K.T Thomas , as its first President. The organisation has developed and donated a number of great leaders to the nation during the last 32 years which includes leaders like the present Hon. Minister of PWD and Education, Shri. P.J. Joseph, Member of Parliment Shri. P.C.Thomas. | ||

Junior Chamber has its own office and situated at the Adam Square
Complex , Thodupuzha with all facilities for conducting traning
programmes etc. Thodupuzha Junior Chamber has been at the fore front in the developmental activities of Thodupuzha and during the last 32 Years they had the opportunity to conduct a number of cultural , social , community , and youth programmes. |

| A few of them were like the Fashion Show under the presidentship of Jc. Jose K. Mathew in 1995, Two wheeler rally under the presidentship of Jc. T.R. Jaladass in 1996, conducting of Zone training programs under Jc. Er. Joseph. T. Cyriac in 1998. | ||

A number of activities were conducted during this year which included the Jaycee car Rally, and the Jaycee Servo Auto Show cum Food Festival. This a very major exhibition being organized at Thodupuzha and was held for 4 days with all the automobile manufactures participating in the exhibition. A number of other activities like training programme Dimension 2000, Leadership 2000 etc. were conducted for the school children. |

| Thodupuzha Junior Chamber has been at the forefront on the Jaycee activities at the National; level and the Zonal level since its inception, and have won recognition at all levels. This year too under the leadership Jc. Dr. Alias Thomas number of awards were won at the Zonal level at the Zone Conference Samagamma 99 of Zone XX. | ||

| This
year another great moment for Thodupuzha Junior was when one of its past
president was elected as the Zone President of Zone XX of Indian Junior
Chamber, Jc. Joshy Mathew for the first time in the history of 32 years
of Thodupuzha Junior Chamber. Past president Jc. T.R. Jaladass was elected as the Zone of Councillor, and Jc, Jose.K.Mathew as Zone Secretary for 2000. Further Thodupuzha Junior Chamber bagged its first National award held recently at Kanpur when its member Jc. Jose.K.Mathew won the out standing Zone Councillor award for 1999. |
